A Jagannath University (JnU) student was killed as a local train hit him in the capital’s Nakhalpara on Tuesday, reports UNB.
The victim was identified as Md Obaidullah, a 2nd year student of Economy Department of the university. Officer-in-charge of Kamalapur Railway Police Station Abdul Majid told UNB that the Gazipur-bound local train hit Obaidullah around 1pm while walking along the rail tracks. He died on the spot, the OC said.
