Kishoreganj: The bodies of an elderly woman and her grandchild, who had gone missing in a boat capsize in Katiarkanda area of Itna upazila on Friday afternoon, were recovered yesterday morning, reports UNB.
The deceased were identified as Hazera Khatun, 70 and her grandchild Waset, 7.
Abdul Malek, officer-in-charge of Itna Police Station, said Hazera, her son Hazrat Ali, 32 and grandchild Waset went missing as the Joysiddhi-bound boat from Projarkanda village carrying six people sank in ‘Wara Haor’ on Friday afternoon.
