fFour employees of Biman Bangladesh Airlines were suspended in connection with the takeoff delay of a Biman flight at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong yesterday due to its door collapse, reports UNB.
The names of the suspended Biman employees could not be known.
Officials said the Biman flight, ‘BG-123’, carrying 315 passengers, was scheduled to leave the airport for Muscat at 9am but it could not take off as the aircraft door got collapsed.
Later, another Biman aircraft was sent to Shah Amanat International Airport from Shahjalal Airport in Dhaka which finally took off for its destination around 2:25pm.
A Biman official told UNB that the aircraft door broke down as a pushcart hit it due to miscommunication between the staff of Engineering and Ground Support departments.
He, however, did not disclose the names of the suspended Biman employees.
