Four killed in road crashes

 Four people, including a school boy, were killed in separate road accidents in Kalapara upazila yesterday. The deceased were identified as Sani, 16, Humyan Howlader, 22 and Shakil, 18, of Nilganj area, and Rabbi Hasan, 14, of Tepura village of Barguna district. A Kuakata bound bus of ‘Sugandha Paribahan’ hit a motorcycle carrying three friends — Sani, Humyan and Shakil - near Kalapara Sheikh Kamal Bridge at about 2:45 pm, leaving them dead on the spot. OC of Kalapara police GM Shahnewaz said police seized the bus but its driver and helper managed to flee the scene. Besides, Rabbi Hasan, 14, a class VII student of Pachjunia Secondary School, sustained injuries after a rickshaw van hit him on Kalapara-Kuakata highway at Itbaria in the afternoon. Rabbi died on the way to hospital.
