Man held with arms in Ctg

Police yesterday in a drive in Shapla Residential Area under Akbar Shah police station in Chittagong arrested an alleged terrorist  along with two guns and two rounds of bullet.
The arrestee was identified as Md Abdur Rashid, 40, son of Rafique Sowdagor hailing from Horinthain village of Patiya Upazila in Chittagong.
He was arrested early morning from his resident along with a one-shooter gun, a country made LG (Light Gun) and the two rounds of bullet, said police.
“Abdur Rashid is a formidable terrorist. There are many allegations including grabbing land, extortion against him. He was accused in two cases of Sitakunda police stations and another case was pending with court lodged against him,” said Sadip Kumar Das, officer-in-charge of Akbar Shah police station.  “Acting on trip-off he was arrested from his resident along with the guns and bullets,” added the OC. A case was lodged in this connection at Akbar Shah police station, said the OC.
