Mehedi’s first solo album released

The first solo album of young singer Mehedi Hasan, who was introduced through the popular musical reality show ‘Shera Kontho’ of Channel i in 2010, has been released under the banner of Gaanchil. On the occasion of the release of Mehedi’s album titled ‘Ayna Firey’, a programme was organised on the Channel i premises on Tuesday. The programme was attended by veteran music exponent Azad Rahman, Khalid Hossain, Sheikh Sadi Khan, Basu Dev, Bhashkar Rasha, Ferdous Ara, Sadi Muhammad, Shahin Samad, Emon Saha, Anima Roy, actress Kangkan, Shirin Bakul and artistes of ‘Shera Kontho’.
The young signer expressed his feelings, “It is my good fortune that quite a few veterans from the music scene of our country attended the cover unveiling programme of my album. It can be said in one word that I faced the best moment of my life. I am fascinated with the love and affection from all. I have no appropriate language to express my gratitude to them. I only seek everyone’s prayers.”
Mehedi’s album includes eight tracks; these are ‘Gaanwala’, ‘Ayna Firey’, ‘Bhalobasa’, ‘Duchokher Khame’, ‘Neel Akash’, ‘Na Bola Kabita’ and ‘Tumi Chhara Ami Eka’. The songs are written by Amirul Islam, Rabiul Jibon, Omar Faruk, Abdur Jaher Rubel, Antara, HM Ripon. Sajedur Rahman and Mehedi Hasan have worked with the tune.
Hailing from Rajshahi, Mehedi became runner-up in Shera Kontho 2010. He started learning music from Rabiul Hossain besides his training in Shilpakala Academy. He earned many awards for his singing from the divisional and district level competition. Meanwhile, Mehedi lent his vocal to the playbacks with the tune by celebrated musician Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul and Basudev Ghosh.
