War crimes trial to continue, says Shajahan Khan

Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan yesterday urged the workers, professionals and freedom fighters to remain united to continue trial of war criminals defying all conspiracies agaist the government, reports BSS.
“The trial of local and foreign war criminals will be held facing all conspiracies. To this end, workers, employees, professionals and freedom fighters will have to remain united,” the minister said this while speaking at a discussion meeting at BCIC auditorium in the city.
Sramik, Karmachari, Peshajibi, Muktisoddha Samonya Parishad organized the discussion meeting marking the May Day, said an official release.
The minister said all will have to remain united against militancy, terrorism and religious fanaticism.
Shajahan Khan called upon all to work from respective positions to develop the country with the spirit of the Liberation War and maintain the prevailing peace.
Presided over by Sramik, Karmachari, Peshajibi, Muktisoddha Samonya Parishad Joint Convener M Alauddin Mian, the meeting was also addressed by Shirin Akhtar, MP, Bangladesh Road Transport Worker Federation General Secretary Osman Gani, Sonali Bank Employees Union M Kamaluddin and Adamji Jute Mills Workers Union leader M Alauddin, among others.
