The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court will pronounce judgment any day on appeal filed by the convicts in sensational Shazneen murder case, reports BSS.
A five-member Appellate Division panel headed by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha yesterday kept the date of the verdict on CAV, court awaiting verdict. The apex court passed the order as the state and defence concluded their arguments on the matter.
Attorney General Mahbubey Alam took part in the hearing for the state, while Justice (retired) Nazrul Islam Chowdhury and AM Aminuddin argued for the defence. Shazneen Tasnim Rahman, 15, a student of class nine of Scholastica School , was raped and killed at their Gulshan residence in Dhaka on April 23, 1998.
