Missing boy found dead

Police recovered the decomposed body of a minor boy from a river in Sarishabari upazila of Jamalpur district yesterday morning. The victim was identified as Ashiqur Rahman, 9, son of Nur Islam at village Bhurarbari in the upazila and also a class I student of a local kindergarten. According to victim’s family, Ashiqur Rahman went missing from his house on Friday afternoon.  Yesterday morning local people found the body under Bhurarbari bridge on the River Subarnokhali. On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Jamalpur General Hospital morgue for autopsy. Police sources said the body bore injury marks on various parts. After the incident police picked up two people for interrogation. Officer-in-charge of Sarishabari police station, Billal Uddin said they did not find the motif behind the murder yet.
