CHITTAGONG: The authority of Chittagong University (CU) yesterday temporarily suspended a deputy registrar for irregularities, reports BSS. Acting CU registrar Prof Dr Kamrul Huda in a press release said Jaker was temporarily suspended from May 3 until further notice under Section-15(A) of the CU Employee (skill and discipline) Regulations. Earlier, Jaker was arrested by Hathazari police on May 3 for obstructing the workers to build a boundary wall in the university. Campus sources said in spite of being a university official, Jaker obstructed the workers from building a boundary wall in the university area and later locked in scuffle with police on May 3. Later, police arrested him after the university authority filed a case against him.
