Usha to defend title against Abahani today

Defending champions Usha Krira Chakra will lock horns with Abahani Limited in the final of the Marcel Club Cup Hockey Tournament-2016 at the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium today.
The match, which will be live telecast by private satellite television channel ATN Bangla, will begin at 3:00pm.
Both Abahani and Usha held their pre-match day practice at the hockey stadium yesterday. After their practice session, both teams coach and team manager appeared in a pre-match day presser, where they expressed their optimism to win the title.
Abahani captain Ashim Gope and team manager Mahbub Ehsan Rana, while Usha captain Krishna Kumar and coach Mamun-Ur-Rashid attended the pre-match briefing.
Our foreign collection is good but were yet to receive 100 percent efforts from them. Usha is a well-balanced side. They advanced to the final through performing well. The fight against them will be a bit difficult for us. But everything is possible if we could play our best games tomorrows final against them, said Mahbub Ehsan Rana, team manager of Abahani Limited.
On the other hand, Usha coach Mamun-Ur-Rashid said, The tournament is being exciting. Hopefully the final will also be exciting. Were champions for the last two seasons. We want to continue our winning streak though itll not be an easy task for us.
Weve to play by our 100 percent efforts because Abahani plays better games. Their foreign players also perform well. They will get down winning the match. But we will also try to defend our title, Rashid told reporters.
F.M Iqbal Bin Anowar, senior additional director of Walton and league committee secretary Mainuzzaman Pila were also present on the occasion.
