Walton-Independent ICC WT20 quiz draw held

The name of the winners of two phase quiz contest ran by The Independent under the sponsorship of Walton during the ICC World Twenty20 was drawn yesterday on the office premises in the capital.
Eleven persons were picked in each phase through lottery to receive prizes offered by the Walton. One person each will get the first, second and third prizes. Four will receive fourth prize, while five persons will get fifth prize for each phase.
Md Habib of Chandpur won a 11.5 CFT refrigerator as the first prize of the first phase and Ms Nasrin of Patuakhali won the first prize a 40 inches Walton LED TV for the second phase.
The draw ceremony was held in presence of Shamim Abdullah Zahedy, Executive Editor of The Independent and Md Humayun Kabir, Executive Director (PR & Media) of Walton.
Manzurul Haque, Sports Editor, M Shafiul Alam, Head of Support Services and Md Zaglul Haider Shahed, Manager- Advertisement, were also present.
The prizes will be formally handed over to the winners soon and the date and time will be announced on this newspaper.
