UNB

Three officers and three employees of the election offices in Natore allegedly received death threat from Purba Banglar Communist Party yesterday, reports UNB.
The threat was issued in separate calls over the mobile phones of the victims.
District election officer Sarker Mohammad Ashraful Alam said a man identifying himself as Biblap, a leader of the outlawed party, called him over his mobile phone around 11:30am and threatened to kill him.
Later, he lodged a general diary with Sadar Police Station on Friday night.
Ashraful Alam also said the outlawed party leader also threatened to kill sadar upazila election officer Mashiur Rahman, Singra upazila election officer Mahbubur Rahman and three employees of the district election office -- Sohrab Hossain, Altaf Hossain and Abdul Majid -- in the same manner.
Officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station Mizanur Rahman said they were looking into the mater.
