Veteran journalist and Jatiya Press Club lifetime member Toab Khan was hospitalised on Thursday night as he fell ill, reports UNB. He was admitted to LabAid Hospital around 9:45pm with pneumonia. Toab Khan, advisory editor of vernacular daily The Janakantha and an Ekushey Padak recipient, was kept at the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital, said one of his colleagues. Quoting doctors, he also said the renowned journalist is gradually improving and he may be shifted to a cabin on Saturday. Jatiya Press Club president Shafiqur Rahman and its GS Quamrul Islam Chowdhury urged all to pray for the early recovery of Khan.
