Houses robbed in Chandpur

Criminals looted valuables from two houses after making residents unconscious at Shaheed Muktijoddha Road in the district town on Thursday. Police said miscreants entered the rented house of Ashis, 45, by breaking open the window grill early Thursday. Later the criminals sprayed some toxic chemical making Ashis, son of Haris Chandra of Sadar upazila, and his wife Mili Rani unconscious and looted valuables. The criminalsalso entered an adjoining house, owned by one Harunur Rashid, and looted valuables making its tenant Zakir Hossain, 50, and his daughter Jhumu, 17 and son Jubayer, 12--unconscious.
