Illegal medicine worth Tk 1cr seized

Customs intelligence on Thursday night seized a huge quantity of illegal medicines worth about Tk one crore from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital, repot BSS. Customs intelligence personnel seized the medicines of cancer, infertility, skin, and contraceptive from the bag of a passenger Selim Bhuiyan, 40, son of Abul Hossain Bhuiyan of Narsingdi at the airport at around 10pm on Thursday, a customs intelligence official said. The seized medicines were brought from Bangkok by a flight PG745 without taking prior permission from Drug Administration and the medicines are dangerous for health, he also said. Legal action was taken to this end.
