To celebrate Rabindranath Tagore’s 155th birth anniversary on May 8, popular singer Shwapnil Shojib is all set to pay his homage to the bard. He will honour Tagore by rendering his song on the stage of Bangladesh Rabindra Sangeet Shilpi Sangstha. On the occasion of Tagore’s birthday, he will anchor ‘Aaj Shokaler Gaan’ on ATN Bangla at 8:20 am tomorrow Shama Rehman and Fahim Hussain Chowdhury will appear in the show as well. The singer will also be giving his performance at Tagore’s cottage at Shahajatpur, Shirajgonj at 11am. He will be singing on Channel i Rabindra Mela from 4 pm. The singer will be taking part at Bangladesh National Museum’s Tagore Fest. At 11pm at night, he will be performing live on Asian TV’s special Tagore concert. He said, “Though I run a hectic schedule these days, no tiredness touches me as Rabindranath says, ‘Apona Majhe Shakti Dhoro Nijere Koro Joy’. Tagore is like a power source. His verses are the places where get inspiration from.” To note, Shwapnil Shojib is all set to release his new musical album from both Bengals.
