Fakhrul gets HC bail in 3 cases

The High Court yesterday granted ad-interim bail to acting BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir in three arson cases until the police submit charge sheets in those cases.
The HC bench comprising Justice Md Nuruzzaman and Justice Abdur Rab passed the order after disposing three petitions filed by Fakhrul in April seeking bail in the cases.
Among the three cases, two were filed with Paltan police station for torching a government’s bus at Paltan intersection on December 29, 2014 and torching a police motorbike and blasting crude bombs at Purana Paltan Culvert Road on January 6, 2015 respectively.
