Sarika to celebrate daughter�s first birthday today

Audience-admired model-actress Sarika moved away from acting the year before her wedding which took place in August of 2014. Her fans assumed that she would make her comeback to acting after her wedding. However that did not happen as Sarika has not returned to acting. The popular model-actress is currently busy with her family and her only child, her daughter Sahrish Anayah Karim. Speaking of her daughter, today is certainly a very special day for Sarika as today is the first birthday of Sahrish. DhakaLive has news that to make their daughter’s very first birthday a memorable event, Sarika and her husband Mahim Karim has made special arrangements. Sahrish’s birthday will be celebrated tonight at a well-known club in the capital. In addition to family and friends, some people from the media will be present for the celebration. Sarika shared her excitement, “How quickly time has passed by and the light of my life Sahrish has already turned one. I would like to ask everyone for their well wishes, thoughts and prayers so that we may be able to celebrate her first birthday properly and pray that she is always happy, healthy and fine.”
To note, Sarika came into the media limelight through a television commercial for DJuice back in 2006, which was directed by Gazi Shubro. She appeared in several commercials directed by Amitabh Reza, Mostafa Sarwar Farroki and other notable directors. She was also the brand ambassador for various well known brands. She first acted in the tele-drama titled ‘Camelia’ in 2010, directed by Ashutosh Sujon. After that she worked in tele-dramas directed by likes of Zahid Hasan, Mohon Khan, Amimesh Aich, Anjan Aich, Arun Chowdhury, among others. Her only drama serial was Arun Chowdhury’s ‘Rupali’, which was based on the story by Humayun Ahmed. She last acted in the telefilm titled ‘Backdated’ in 2013.
