AL suspends 9 UP rebel candidates

The district Awami League has suspended nine party men for preparing to contest the upcoming union parishad elections in seven unions of Jhikargachha upazila of Jessore going against the party decision, reports UNB.
SM Ripon Hasan Bipu, office secretary of the AL district unit, in a press release on Monday night said the decision was taken against the nine as they started electioneering for the upcoming polls as ‘rebel candidates’ failing to get nomination from the party.
The dissenters suspended are: Badar Uddin Ahmed Beltu, of 1 no Gangananda union, Md Fazlur Rahman of 2 no Magra union, Md Shafiuddin of 3 no Shimulia union, Md Shahabuddin of 4 no Godkhali union, Mir Babarjan Barun and, Abdul Kader, of 5 no Panisara union, Md Shariful Islam of 10 no Shankarpur union and Rabiul Islam and Master Helal Uddin of 11 no Bakra union of the upazila.
