Krispy Kreme, an American doughnut company and coffee-house chain, is set to open outlet in Dhaka on Saturday (May 7) to meet the growing demands among the urban middle class.
Having launched in over 26 countries around the world, the Krispy Kreme HOT light is finally here.
Starting May 7, at 10:00 am, Krispy Kreme will welcome the first customers into the store at the heart of the Dhaka city’s eateries, Banani 11, says a press release. The North Carolina based mother company signed a franchisee agreement with local conglomerate Orion Group with the aim of opening 20 stores across the country in the next five years. "We expect Krispy Kreme to become an integral part of Bangladesh's culture and we look forward to sharing the joy that is Krispy Kreme with customers new and old in Bangladesh.” said Dan Beem, Krispy Kreme's president of International.
“We are privileged and ecstatic to be joining hands with such a world renowned and iconic brand such as Krispy Kreme and excited to welcome our first customers in 7th of May” – Salman Obaidul Karim, managing director, Orion Group.
With the Hot light on and at least 20 Krispy Kreme stores set to open in the next five years, there is little doubt that doughnuts will never be the same for Bangladesh again, the statement added.
