New Delhi: Like many experts and cricket fans, Sri Lankan spin legend Muttiah Muralitharan too has been mighty impressed with Bangladeshi pacer Mustafizur Rahman's success in international cricket, reports Zee Media.
Speaking to The Times of India, the offie said that with proper care, Rahman has a long career ahead of him.
“Mustafizur is one bowler who has the shown immense potential to turn things around for SRH. He has been a revelation not only for Bangladesh but also for SRH this season. I feel if he is nurtured---Mustafizur can certainly have a long career ahead of him,” he said.
The 44-year-old said that his franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad have one of the best bowling attacks in the tournament.
“We have the likes of Ashish Nehra, Mustafizur Rahman, Bhuvneshwar Kumar doing the job for us. I think we have been able to bowl at good areas in crunch situations which has helped us to do well in the competition so far and we hope to continue with this momentum and make the knockouts this season,” he added.
Sunrisers Hyderabad are currently ranked at fifth position in the points table after winning four out of seven matches.
The shortest format of the game has tested the bowlers but at the same time has provided them with a platform to become superstars. The latest to join an increasingly long list of star bowlers is Bangladesh's Mustafizur Rahman. The lanky pacer has been making headlines since his dream debut. In his first ODI against India, Mustafizur picked a five-for, setting the stage for Bangladesh to seal a historic series win.
