Group exhibition �The Beauty of Drawing� at Athena Gallery

A three-week long group drawing exhibition, titled ‘The Beauty of Drawing’ featuring the works of 12 artists, began on June 15 at the Athena Gallery of Fine Arts in the city’s Pragati Sarani area. The exhibition is mainly an output of a three-day workshop on drawing, which was held from June 9 to 11 at the gallery premises. A total of 12 eminent artists of the country participated in the workshop. Chairperson of Athena Gallery of Fine Arts Rawshan Murshed Nilu presided over the opening ceremony of the workshop, while eminent artist Jamal Ahmed led the entire workshop. The participating artists in the workshop are– Jamal Ahmed, Ahemd Shamsudduha, Sheikh Afzal Hossain, Khalid Mahmud Mithu, Kanak Chapa Chakma, Mohammad Iqbal, Anukul Chandra Majumder, Kamal Uddin. Uzzal Ghosh, Sumon Wahed, Anisuzzaman Mamun, Parvez Hasan Rigan, Abdus Sattar Taufiq, Shahid Kazi and Sultan Ishtiaq. The exhibition will remain open to all everyday from 10am to 8pm, until July 10.
