Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre (IGCC) is organising an evening of recitation and talk by former Culture Secretary Dr Ranjit Biswas today at its Gulshan premises. Dr Ranjit Biswas is an ardent lover of art and culture. Prior to joining Civil Service in 1981, he was a working journalist. A short story writer, columnist, satirist and a cricket analyst of countrywide repute, he contributes to national and regional dailies.
Dr Biswas is a connoisseur of music and recitation. He earned appreciations, laurels and scores of awards for literary acumen and attributes. He has got a US-University PhD, an MBA and National Defence College Graduation. Under the pen name ‘Ranajit Biswas’, he has 25 books to his credit. l
