Police yesterday afternoon recovered the bodies of two friends, who went missing on Monday morning, from the Old Brahmaputra River in the district town. The deceased were identified as Sajon Miah, 20, a hawker by profession, and his friend transport worker Emon Miah, 21, of town’s Patgodam area. Police said the two friends got out of home around 11am on Monday and didn’t return home. Local people spotted the bodies floating in the Old Brahmaputra River around 1.00pm and informed police, said Officer-in-Charge of Kotoali Model Police Station Kamrul Islam. Later, police recovered the bodies, the OC added.
