Man held with pistol, ammo in Benapole

Police arrested a young man along with one foreign-made pistol, two magazines and three rounds of bullet from Benapole check post area on Saturday night. The arrestee was identified as Kawser, son of Nur Islam, a resident of Lautali village in Faridganj upazila of Chandpur district. Mafizur Rahman, sub-inspector of Benapole port police station, said tipped off, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested Kawser at night. The law enforcers also recovered one foreign-made pistol, two magazines and three rounds of bullet from his possession. A case was filed in this connection.
