JS selects panel to run business in absence of speakers

A five-member panel of chairmen was nominated by the Speaker for the 10th session of the 10th parliament, reports UNB. Members of the panel are- Prof Ali Ashraf, AB Tajul Islam, Waresat Hossain Belal, Fakhrul Imam and Safura Begum. Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury announced their names at the beginning of the day’s business. They will conduct the proceedings of Parliament in chronological order in the absence of the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker. Earlier, the Parliament resumed with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury at 5:05 pm.
