Abahani unveil hockey jersey

Local giants Abahani Limited unveiled their jersey at the club’s board room yesterday Ahead of the domestic hockey season, Sailor, brand of the Epilion Group came forward to sponsor the jersey when Abahani director Abdus Sadeque and Nazmul Ahsan, representative of sponsor group unveiled the jersey.
Abdus Sadeque, one of the legendary hockey players said that there would be professionalism in every sector of sports and he welcomed ‘Sailor’ for coming forward to sponsor jersey for Abahani.
Ahsanul Islam Titu, Abahani hockey team secretary said the clubs are the industry to produce players and they would set up an academy to get quality players for future.
He also gave importance to bring professionalism in hockey and for this, quality players will have to be produced for the development of country’s hockey.
Mahbub Harun, head coach of the national team and one of the members of the Abahani hockey team said five players from Pakistan will arrive very soon to play for them.
