�Couple� found dead at Rajshahi hotel

RAJSHAHI: Police recovered the bodies of a young couple from a hotel in Shaheb Bazar area of the city yesterday. The victims were Mizanur Rahman, 23, of Pathanpara village of Dabirganj under Ullapara upazila in Sirajganj and Sumaiya Nasrin, 20, of Pabna Sadar as quoted on the hotel register, said Sushanto Chandra Roy, an assistant commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police. Mizanur was a 2nd year student of Islamic History department at Rajshahi University and Nasrin, daughter of a police sub inspector Abdul Karim of Bogra, was the 1st year student of Physics at Pabna University of Science and Technology. Mizanur was found hanging from the ceiling fan while his hands were tied. Nasrin was lying on the bed with stabbing injuries and her face was covered with a pillow, said Roy.  
Police sent the bodies to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy in the evening after the crime scene experts of CID thoroughly examined the spot of occurrence.
Abul Kalam Azad, a manager of Hotel Nice International, said the couple had been staying at room no. 303 of the hotel since Wednesday night, identifying themselves as husband and wife.
They paid off their bills on Thursday night as they were scheduled to check out by 12pm yesterday, said the manager.
As they were to check out, hotel employee Faisal went to the room around 12pm and they did not get any respond. Then the hotel authority informed the police, Azad added.
The victims’ families were informed and they said the victim did not get married as they quoted in the hotel documents, said the police.
Mizanur was physically challenged  said the police after seizing some footages. Nasrin’s father Abdul Karim who is serving with the Detective Branch of police in Gaibandha.
Members of various law enforcement agencies visited the scene.
However; police arrested four hotel boys for investigation.
