46 culverts to be built in Jhalakati

Aimed at building a strong rural road communication network, 46 culverts will be constructed in four- upazila of the district at a cost of Tk more than eight crore, reports BSS.
The culverts will be built under the department of Disaster Management for smooth movement of countryside people and transport to boost rural economy.
Nineteen culverts will be constructed at Jhalakati Sadar upazila,17 in Nalchiti upazila,5 in Rajapur upazila and 5 in Kathalia upazila. Mohammad Selim Sarker, Executive Engineer of Local Government Engineering Department (LGED), hoped that the constr-uction work of the culverts would start by next month.
