Stay alert against fraudsters

Govt urges educational institutions
UNB

The government has urged educational institutions not to pay money to anyone against the demand for getting various development works done, reports UNB. The Education Ministry issued a notice in this regard yesterday. The notice said there are allegations that a gang of fraudsters is demanding money from different educational institutions in the name of various works of the Education Ministry, including nationalisation, building construction, MPO facilities, new subject introduction and project approval. Noting that these types of work are routine ones of the ministry, the notice said there is no scope for realising money for those. It also said stern action will be taken if it is proved that any ministry official is involved in such evil practice. The ministry has urged all not to pay any money to the fraudsters and instead hand them over to local police station if anyone demands money.
