Appreciating Bangladesh’s women empowerment, US Ambassador in Dhaka Marcia Stephens Bloom Bernicat said they support a Bangladesh where women thrive and are valued in all sectors, reports UNB.
“We support a Bangladesh where women thrive and are valued in all sectors. When women succeed, Bangladesh succeeds,” she said while speaking at the inaugural session of a textile exhibition titled ‘Symphony of Needle Work’ at the EMK Center in the capital on Tuesday
night.
The US envoy said the exhibition not only speaks to the beautiful crafts and textiles produced right here in Bangladesh, but also speaks to a very rich aspect of Bangladeshi tradition. “A tradition to be preserved, protected, promoted and passed on to following
generations.”
