9 municipalities go to polls May 25

Nine more municipalities will go to polls on May 25. The Election Commission (EC) announced the schedule for the polls yesterday.  
As per the schedule, aspirants will submit nominations until April 28, the nomination papers will be scrutinised on May 2 and the last date for nomination withdrawal will be May 9.  
The municipalities are Raipura and Ghorashal of Narsingdi, Laxmipur sadar, Kasba of Brahmanbaria, Noakhali sadar and Senbagh of Noakhali, Chhagalnaiya of Feni, Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar, and Ramgarh of Khagrachhari.
As the polls are held under political banner, the political parties will nominate signatories for nominating mayoral candidates.
