North South University (NSU) recently celebrated Pahela Baishakh 1423 at their Bashundhara campus with its students and faculty members, says a press release. The day started with a colorful rally around the campus with handmade multi-colored festoons, sculptures and art projects. Songs, baul performances, folk dances and band performances were also part of the programme. A fair was organised by the NSU Sangskritik Sangathan where traditional items were sold specially handicrafts and foods.
M. A. Kashem, chairman, BOT was the chief guest of the event and Professor Atiqul Islam, NSU, chaired the ceremony. Professor Gour Gobinda Goswami, treasurer, Professor Emdadul Haq, director, Student Affairs along with other faculty members and administrative heads also took part in this celebration.
