Police recovered bullet-riddled body of a college student, who had been picked up by a group of people impersonating plainclothes policemen from Kaliganj upazila in Jhenaidah district on April 10, from Kharagoda village in Sadar upazila yesterday morning.
The deceased was identified as Sahanur Rahman Sahan,20, son of Mohsin Ali, a resident of Ishwarba village in Kaliganj upazila of Jhenaidah.
Locals spotted the body with bullet injuries lying beside a paddy field at Kharagoda village and informed police around 11:30am, said officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station Saiful Islam.
Later, police recovered the body and sent it to a local hospital morgue for an autopsy.
A group of plainclothes police abducted Sahan form Jamtala bus stand in Kaliganj upazila of Jhenaidah district on April 10, claimed the victim’s family.
