Hawkers League leader stabbed in Savar

SAVAR: A local leader of Hawkers League was injured by stabbing in an attack by some miscreants at Dilkhusabag in Savar upazila early Wednesday, reports UNB.
The victim was identified as Jakir Hossain, senior vice-president of the Savar thana unit of the ruling Awami League’s associate body for the hawkers.
SM Kamruzzaman, officer-in-charge of Savar Model Police Station, said a gang of miscreants attacked Jakir while he was returning home from his shop in Savar Bazar bus stand area in the dead of night.
At one stage, the attackers stabbed Jakir indiscriminately and hurriedly fled the scene, leaving him severely injured.
Locals rescued him and took him to Enam Medical College Hospital. A case was filed in this connection.
