Forty illegal electrycity lines disconnected

A mobile court of the Power Development Board (PDB), Chittagong on Tuesday snapped 40 electricity connection lines and filed 41 cases for not paying bill arrears and using electricity illegally in Chittagong.

The drive was conducted to realise outstanding bills Tk83 lakh at the city’s Khulsi, Agrabad and Patiya Upazila in Chittagong, said a press release.
The mobile court was led by Md Mohiuddin, senior judge of PDB court. During the drive the court fined Tk2, 45,000 for using electricity lines illegal.
