Injured man dies at DMCH

A man, who received injuries in a clash over felling a disputed tree in Sribardi upazila of the district on Monday, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Tuesday, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Monowar Hossain Montu, 36, son of Hamidur Rahman, a resident of the village.
Police and locals said Monowar locked in an altercation with his neighbour Lutfor Rahman over felling a mango tree at Kurmua Garkhola village in Sribordi upazila on Monday morning.
Men of both of them, equipped with locally-made weapons, attacked each other inflicting severe injuries on Monowar.
He was first rushed to Sribardi Upazila Health Complex from where he was later shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday morning.
Officer-in-charge of Sribardi Police Station S Alam confirmed the death saying the deceased’s brother, Delwar Hossain, filed a murder case in this connection.
