The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court yesterday adjourned till Sunday the hearing on an appeal filed by war crimes convict BNP leader Salauddin Quader Chowdhury against a war crimes tribunal verdict that had awarded him death penalty on war crimes charges.
After concluding yesterday’s hearing, a four-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha adjourned the hearing till Sunday.
The apex court started the hearing on the appeal on Wednesday after rejecting a petition filed by Salauddin, seeking a four-week adjournment on hearing of the appeal.
