Ice-cream factory, bakery sealed off

A mobile court yesterday sealed off an ice-cream factory and a bakery and at Ghat Farhadbeg area of Chittagong for producing items using inedible ingredients.
The court also fined the owners Tk4 lakh. The mobile court was led by Mohammad Ruhul Amin, executive magistrate and Revenue Deputy Collector of Chittagong District  Administration.
The court fined Energy Ice-cream factory Tk 2lakh for using harmful colour, sweetener and WASA water for producing ice-cream and Purbani Biscuit Bakery Tk 2 lakh for producing biscuit in an unhygienic environment, said the executive magistrate.
