15 held with huge jatka

CHITTAGONG: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested 15 people and seized around 50 tonnes of jatka (Small hilsa) from the Karnaphuli River adjacent to Karnaphuli ghat of  the city on Monday, reports UNB.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Md Sohel Mahmud, assistant director (Media) of RAB-7, said tipped off, a team of the elite force with the help of executive magistrate Abdullah Al Mansur and fishery survey officer Md Kamal Uddin Chowdhury, conducted the drive in the river. They seized 50 tonnes of jatka from cold storage of a vessel, ‘Cresent-4’, added the RAB ASP.
They also arrested 15 staff of the vessel.
