Missing schoolboy found dead in Rajbari

OUR CORRESPONDENT, Rajbari

Police recovered the body of a seven-year-old boy from the Padma River at Habaspur area in Pangsha upazila yesterday four days after he had gone missing. The victim was identified as Fahad Mandal, 7, son of Hashem Mandal, of Char Afra of the upazila and a student of class one of Char Afra Government Primary School. Police said local people found the body in the morning and informed police. Family sources said Fahad went missing on Thursday as he had gone out of his home to go to Baishakhi fair. Sub-inspector of Pangsha police station Sakhwat Hossain said the body bore several injury marks. Police sent the body to hospital morgue for autopsy, said Abu Shama Mohammad Iqbal Hayat, officer-in-charge of Panghsa police station.
