CCS aim to play better cricket in DPL

Sports Reporter

Cricket Coaching School (CCS), who promoted to Premier Division League (DPL) from First Division along with Gazi Group Cricketers, formed a team with the blend of comparatively young and experienced cricketers.
Although the team has set no big target but what they set as their target seeking to play better cricket.
Former national captain Rajin Saleh is the most senior amongst the players. He said that they want to cross the line of stiff hurdle with them.
“I never play for this team. This is the first time for me. The team has promoted to Premier Division from First Division this year,” said Rajin Saleh, who had played 24 Tests and 43 ODI for Bangladesh before being retired from international cricket.
“I’ll not say that the team is bad. There are so many young players, who have much potential. Most of them are hailing from Under-19 whose future prospects are so bright. If they could play with their capability along with commitment I think the team will go to a good position,” Saleh told reporters at National Cricket Academy after their practice session.
Sylhet-born all-rounder said that they should focus on their performance in place of not pay their heed to critic.
“Management always says that we’re playing better cricket. But others told that we’ll play in relegation. Actually it’s not right to tell anything before the start of the game. We’ll try to play our better cricket in field. If we could play better cricket we could able to do a better result at the end of the day,” he reckoned
“Personally I work hard and practice more. I believe I could play well. I play with young players in so many teams. I played for Partex last year.”
“I don’t think these young guys will struggle. I’m confident and hopeful about them. They will play better cricket. The team is good in batting and fielding. We could do cover the other sides,” he thinks.
About his batting position, Saleh, who scalped 15 in ODI and two wickets in Tests said, “I’m hopeful of batting at Number 4. But team management wants to bat me at No 5. Actually there is no problem at No 4 or 5. I will try to bat well in whether position I bat.”
On the other hand, pace all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin, who has been retained by CCS along with Saif Hasan. The team got Pinak Ghosh as binding player. Even, they picked a couple of other two U-19 players by players’ draft.
Saifuddin said that they will play for the team’s target what they have done for U-19 in World Cup.
“All we have been playing together from First Division. This time some more joined with us. We’ve played World Cup. We have been playing together since five years ago. Understanding amongst us is good. Hopefully we could also be kept its continuation in Premier League,” Mohammad Saifuddin said.
