About himself, Badal Roy said, “There is a common idea that the vice-presidents post are not so valuable, their right is very limited to do something. But in the last few years I proved that vice-presidents have also so many things to do and it is a very valuable post to take part in the development process.”
Manzur Kader, who submitted nomination papers for the post of senior vice-president, introduced the president candidates Kamrul Ashraf Puton from their panel. Kader in his address to the reporters said, “Today we are bound to submit a panel to contest in the BFF election.”
“Our panel is under the banner of “Save the Football” and Kamrul Ashraf Puton is the candidate for the president. He is successful businessman came from the grass roots. We selected him to contest for the post of president to bring the football ahead.”
Besides Manzur Kader, Dewan Shariful Arifin Ttutul, Ashraf Ahmed Chunnu, Khorshed Alam Babul and Lokman Hossain Bhuiyan are the heavyweight candidates from their panel.
Tutul, one of the former football stars, who was also one of the very influential directors of Bangladesh Cricket Board said, “It’s my late decision to compete in the BFF election, I came here after knowing everything.”
“My first duty will be to bring transparency in the administration, to bring players from grass roots. I hope I will win. But I have no magic in my hands to do anything miracle but I believe I will be able to go ahead and bring the football to a certain place with my team, said Tutul.”
