Mahmood shocked at loss of lives

Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali yesterday expressed deep shock at the loss of lives due to recent devastating earthquake in Ecuador that claimed at least 77 lives so far, reports BSS.
"I am deeply saddened to learn about the tragic loss of at least 77 lives and injury to a few hundred due to the recent devastating earthquake in the central coast of your country," he said in a message to his Ecuador counterpart Charles Flanagan yesterday. The Bangladesh foreign minister expressed sympathy to the bereaved family members and prayed for early recovery of the injured.
"We stand by your government and the friendly people of Ecuador at the difficult time," he said.
