A case was filed against a drug addict with Keraniganj Model Police Station on Sunday night for allegedly killing his father, reports UNB.
Alifa Begum, wife of deceased Md Mamtaz Uddin, filed the case with the police station against her son Md Tamij Uddin Tomu, 25, said sub inspector Saiduzzaman.
Mamtaz was allegedly shot to death by his drug addicted son Tomu on Sunday afternoon as he refused to give him money for buying drugs.
Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
Accused Tomu was a close aide of ‘top terrorist’ Rana Mollah of of Hazratpur union parishad, said the SI.
