BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will attend proceedings in a Dhaka court today that will hear two graft cases against her: the Zia Orphanage and Zia Charitable Trust cases.
Advocate Masud Ahmed Talukdar, one of the counsels for the BNP chief, confirmed that Khaleda Zia would be in the court. “Former Prime minister Khaleda Zia will go to the makeshift court set up at Bakshibazar’s Alia Madrasa ground in the city, where the hearing will be held in her presence,” Advocate Talukdar said.
He also said, “Madam (Khaleda) is respectful of the laws of the country. So, she decided to appear before the court for getting an impartial judgment.”
