Farmer killed by lightning strike

Sunamganj: A farmer was killed by a lightning strike at Halidakanda village in Dharmapasha upazila yesterday morning, reports UNB.
Police and witnesses said a streak of thunderbolt struck Sher Ali, son of late Khalil Miah of the village, at about 10:00 am when he was cutting paddy at a haor near his house, leaving him dead on the spot.
Officer-in-charge of Dharmapasha Police Station Golam Kibria confirmed the incident.
