The holy month of Ramzan of Hijri 1436 begins tomorrow in the country. A team of National Moon Sighting Committee led by religious affairs minister and chairman of the board Principal Motiur Rahman yesterday announced that the month of Ramzan will begin tomorrow as the new moon was not sighted anywhere in the country.
The 30th day of Saban ended today, as a result the first day of Ramzan begins from tomorrow and Lailatul Qadr, the night of divine blessings and benediction, will be observed on July 14.
The committee sources said, “We did not get any information of sighting the moon from any where in the country. The month of Ramzan will be counted from tomorrow.”
The meeting was held at the Islamic Foundation’s Baitul Mukarram office in the capital.
