Faridpur: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested an alleged robber along with one foreign-made pistol, one shutter gun, two magazines and three rounds of bullet on the Magura-Faridpur highway in Madhukhali upazila early Saturday, reports UNB.
Major Abdullah Al Hasan, deputy commander of Faridpur Rab, said tipped off, a team of the elite force conducted a drive on the highway and arrested Khairuzzaman Khwaja while he was taking preparation for committing robbery at about 1:00am.
The law enforcers also recovered one foreign-made pistol, one shutter gun, two magazines and three rounds of bullet from his possession. The arrestee was wanted in 14 cases, including for murder and robbery, with Kotwali Police Station, the major added.
